Nisali Siriwardene is a Liverpool-based architectural designer and Artist whose practice explores landscape, portraiture and abstract painting. Influenced by her architectural background, her work reflects a strong sensitivity to space, atmosphere and the emotional connection between people and place.
Nisali graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture with distinction from Liverpool John Moores University, where she also received the Architecture Drawing Award. Previously, she was awarded the Best Overall Performance Award for her undergraduate studies in architecture.

Nisali works mainly with Oil paints and watercolors. In her travels she uses a lot of watercolours to paint on site. In the watercolour group she tends to teach participants to use watercolour as a plain air medium. Her practice includes both independent studio work and bespoke commissions, creating paintings that respond to personal stories, environments and memory. Nisali is the founder of Artgaze.uk. a platform where collectors and art lovers can discover original paintings and to join create.
